Thoughts about Curating Contemporary Art Looking for Comparisons is about a curatorial methodology that encompasses different cultures and aesthetic traditions by viewing them on the equal platform of contemporary art. Quality in art has to be aesthetic, yet aesthetics cannot be confined to purely formal or "artistic" concerns and by necessity has to bleed out into the life experience in which it is rooted. Elliott will talk about this approach by referring to the work and themes in a number of exhibitions he has organised.
